Dene
Rossouw will engage you in content rich seminars and keynotes designed

more authentically. His keynote, The rules of engagement -
earning the right to speak, is drawn from
his experience in working with diverse groups of people, including bikers, judges and bureaucrats. Dene specialises
in improving leadership and employee engagement through effective communication
and sensemaking. As an innovative communicator, Dene coaches leaders
on how to have more relevant
conversations
in the workplace and how you can use your personal power, rather
than positional
power to inspire action and to develop strategic alliances and
partnerships.
Dene has 18 years of facilitation and consulting experience
in the field of communications. He is the Communications Chair for the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers and is a certified emotional intelligence facilitator using the BarOn Emotional Intelligence Quotient Inventory - EQ-i™. He has the Associate Certificate in Workplace Conflict from the Justice Institute of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Theology from the University of South Africa.
His communication programs are designed for self-discovery—his most
recent assignments are with Kwela Leadership and Talent Management, Corporate
Accounting Services – BC Government, VanCity, Vancouver Coastal Health,
University of British Columbia and representing Mica Consulting for BC Safety
Authority, Ballard, BC Hydro, Healthcare Benefit Trust and Industrial Alliance
Pacific.
Dene
has held positions in various organizations, most recently as Communications
Director for the Chief Justices and Judges in
the Chief’s Office, Nova
Scotia Law Courts, Canada and Assistant Divisional Manager and Senior Communications
Consultant and Production Manager in the Public Relations Division of Old Mutual
International in South Africa.
Dene
is married to Deborah, a personal development specialist, coach and facilitator.

Since completing school in 1969, he has been a paratrooper, a priest working with biker groups, a farm manager, a business owner, a communications specialist and trainer, and more recently, a facilitator and speaker to organizations.
